CONTAGIO 2025 Conference and Public Lecture Recap

Last week, the 2025 CONTAGIO annual internal meeting and public lecture series was held in Bucaramanga, Colombia. A huge thank-you goes out to CONTAGIO consortium members from Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS) for hosting and organizing such a wonderful conference and introducing CONTAGIO members and speakers to your beautiful city.

Public lecture speakers included individuals from organizations including the World Health Organization (WHO), Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), FIOCRUZ Brazil, University of Sao Paulo, the Colombian Ministry of Health, Heidelberg University (Germany), Infectious Diseases Data Observatory (IDDO- University of Oxford), EMBL, University of Colorado, ISARIC, Universidad Javeriana, and CDI.

Our internal meeting was very productive and helped lay the organizational groundwork for the remaining work to be completed during the final year of the CONTAGIO project.
