Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS) Hosts the CONTAGIO 2025 AnnualMeeting: A Global Gathering on PandemicResponse

The Industrial University of Santander (UIS), through its Faculty of Health, will host the Annual Meeting of the CONTAGIO Consortium (COhorts Network To be Activated Globally In Outbreaks), a key initiative funded by the European Commission (2023-2026).
This meeting, which will take place in Bucaramanga, Colombia from November 17 to 19, 2025, has as its main objective the establishment of rapid coordination mechanisms to respond effectively to outbreaks of infectious diseases in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).
The network is coordinated by the University of Heidelberg and includes the UIS and 17 partner institutions from Europe, North America, Latin America, Asia, and Africa, forming a global health research front.
This pivotal event will take place at the UIS School of Health in Bucaramanga, Colombia, from November 17-19, 2025.
